Common issues

People come to counselling with a wide range of issues which may feel very personal to them.  As your therapist I aim to understand your issues from your point of view without judgement so you may feel understood. Feeling accepted and understood can help you to understand what is going on for you opening up your self-awareness,helping you to deal with your issues.

Some of the issues I have supported clients with include:

  • low self-esteem
  • anxiety
  • low mood/depression
  • work-related stress
  • bereavement
  • emotional and sexual abuse
  • relationship difficulties
  • health issues
  • gender identity issues
  • suicidal thoughts and feelings
  • eating difficulties

Everyone is unique with their own specific issues but if you find it helpful to read more about specific issues please take a look at these pages and the links therein.
